Video Canvas Editor

The Video Canvas Editor is the central hub for all video editing operations in Chat Video Pro. Access SAM 3, Kling VFX, Reshoot, and upscaling tools from one unified interface.

How to Access

  1. Import a video - Use Import Clip button or drag & drop from Library

  2. Click "Edit" button - On the video thumbnail in the composer

  3. Video Canvas Editor opens - Full-screen editing interface

  4. Select editing mode - Choose from model selector

  5. Edit your video - Follow mode-specific workflow

Available Editing Modes

The Video Canvas Editor provides access to:

  • SAM 3 - Background removal and rotoscoping

  • Kling VFX - Visual effects and scene modifications

  • Reshoot (LTX) - Video regeneration and style transfer

  • Upscale - Video resolution enhancement

Interface Overview

Video Player

  • Playback controls - Play, pause, seek, volume

  • Frame navigation - Jump to specific frames

  • Timeline scrubber - Navigate through video

Model Selector

  • Mode dropdown - Switch between editing modes

  • Mode-specific settings - Adjust parameters per mode

  • Auto-detection - Suggests appropriate mode

Editing Tools

Mode-specific tools appear based on selection:

  • SAM 3: Text prompt, box selection, point selection

  • Kling VFX: Effect prompt, reference images

  • Reshoot: Style prompt, segment selection

  • Upscale: Model selection, scale factor

Action Buttons

  • Track Frame (SAM 3) - Preview selection on first frame

  • Track Entire Video (SAM 3) - Process full video

  • Edit Video (Kling VFX) - Apply effects

  • Reshoot Video (Reshoot) - Regenerate with style

  • Upscale (Upscale) - Increase resolution

  • Done - Complete and add to chat

  • Close - Cancel editing

Workflow Overview

Step 1: Import Video

  • Use Import Clip button from Premiere Pro timeline

  • Or drag & drop from Library

  • Or drag & drop from file system

Step 2: Open Editor

  • Click "Edit" button on video thumbnail

  • Video Canvas Editor opens in full-screen

  • Video loads and is ready for editing

Step 3: Select Mode

  • Choose editing mode from dropdown

  • Interface adapts to selected mode

  • Mode-specific tools appear

Step 4: Configure Settings

  • Adjust mode-specific parameters

  • Enter prompts or make selections

  • Preview if available (SAM 3 Track Frame)

Step 5: Process Video

  • Click appropriate action button

  • Wait for processing

  • Review results

Step 6: Complete

  • Use Before/After toggle to compare

  • Click "Done" to add to chat

  • Or "Close" to cancel

Mode-Specific Workflows

SAM 3 Mode

  1. Select subject - Text prompt, box, or point selection

  2. Track Frame - Preview mask on first frame

  3. Track Entire Video - Process all frames

  4. Remove Background - Export transparent video

Kling VFX Mode

  1. Enter effect prompt - Describe effect to add

  2. Optional: Add reference images (1-4)

  3. Edit Video - Apply effects

Reshoot Mode

  1. Enter style prompt - Describe desired style

  2. Optional: Select video segment

  3. Reshoot Video - Regenerate with style

  1. Select upscaler - Topaz, Flash VSR 2, or Bria

  2. Set scale factor - 1.5× to 10× (varies by model)

  3. Configure settings - Codec, quality, etc.

  4. Upscale - Process video

  2. Preview before processing - Use Track Frame (SAM 3)

Troubleshooting

"Video Canvas Editor not opening"

Solutions:

  • Ensure you have a video attached

  • Click "Edit" button on video thumbnail

  • Check video is properly loaded

  • Try refreshing or re-importing video

"Mode not available"

Solutions:

  • Check video duration (some modes have limits)

  • Verify video resolution (some modes have max resolution)

  • Ensure API keys are configured

  • Some modes require specific video characteristics

"Processing failed"

Solutions:

  • Check video file is valid

  • Ensure video meets mode requirements

  • Verify API keys and credits

  • Try a different mode or shorter clip
